Let's Sushi

An Evening of Sushi Making and Eating

Friday 23rd May 2014 at 7:30pm

United Reformed Church Hall, College Street, Petersfield

Let's Sushi! was founded by Yasuhiro 'Yasu' Minowa in 2011. He was born and bred in Japan but met his English wife in 1997 and they now live with their daughter near Farnham, Surrey.

If you ask Yasu what he misses most about Japan he will always answer the same way; 'other than my family and friends it has to be the food.' He spent hours as a youngster helping his Mum Reiko prepare wonderful Sushi platters for her large family of five children.

We have held events of this nature before and found they are good fun. The United Reform Church Hall has an excellent kitchen and lots of space. Yasu-san is an excellent organiser and we have alway enjoyed rolling sushi and then eating afterwards with miso soup, green tea and saki (for the adults!)

There are only twenty spaces available for this event and pre-booking is required. Tickets are £10 for non-members and £5 for members and students. Spaces can be booked by sending a cheque to cover the cost of tickets to Wendy. A stamped addressed envelope should be included to allow Wendy to send you your tickets before the event.

For more information, telephone Wendy on 01730 266 992.
