Introduction to the Society
The Society is run as a friendly group based in the southern counties
of England to promote Japan and its culture.
We run a programme of meetings every other month throughout the year
and in addition are keen to support other events our members may suggest.
Events held have included talks on Japanese culture, both ancient and modern,
and practical demonstrations including cookery, drumming and Kendo.
The society also receives support from the
Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.
