Aspects of Japanese Art and Design. The Kimono. Gail
Forrest who lectures and gives courses for NADFAS and WEA will bring down
her collection of kimonos as worn by men , women and children, including
gold- and silver-embroidered bridal ribes and others woven, dyed,
embroidered and painted, also obi sashes, undergarments and hair
ornaments. We hope also to arrange at around the same time an exhibition
in Petersfield of her collection of lacquerware, ceramics, tea ceremony
utensils and kumihimo braiding, and also a lecture for ladies only by
another expert who will show us how to put on a kimono.

some down to show us and tell about the tradition
of sword-making in Japan.

Following his popular concert in Petersfield
in 2008 Joji returns to teach us how Taiko drumming is done and tell us
